Every site I go to wants you to join something and pay by credit card. I don%26#039;t HAVE a credit card...lol... I thought a law was passed or something where you could get your credit score on request.

The site mentioned already (annual credit report) is totally free, no-strings-attached. That%26#039;s the one that was set up when the law was changed.
I would suggest you order a report from just one agency now. Then, in four months, get the second agency%26#039;s report and the last one in four more months (ex. June - Experian, Oct. - TransUnion, Feb. - Equifax). This way, you can monitor your credit all year long for free.

You can get your credit report online for free. I think they asked me for a credit card, too, but that%26#039;s so that if you don%26#039;t cancel the %26quot;subscription%26quot; to the site, they can continue to charge you. Give them your credit card info, but just make sure you cancel your subscription after you%26#039;ve read your credit report. You can go to www.experian.com. That%26#039;s where I got mine, and I didn%26#039;t pay anything for it.
