Company put false information on my credit report!?

My old apartments has turned over FALSE late charges to a collection agency and in turn they have put it on my credit. I moved out June 1st, they say I moved out June 8th, the woman from the collection agency called me on June 20th (under 30 days). I did not receive anything in writing just annoying phone calls. She stated the apt should have sent an invoice. They did not. I called the apts and the woman said they did not have address for me, however the collection agent said they have an address (which is correct) that they got from the apt. I was reading where u can contact each credit bureau and tell them about fraudulent charges, but looking more into it...the credit bureaus are talking about identity theft. I still think my situation would fall under fraudulent because the charges are incorrect and the woman @ the collection agency told me that it doesn%26#039;t matter if I dispute, they are only going to send it to them and they still mark it as unpaid and it stays on my credit. help

When you moved out of the apartment did you actually turn in your keys? Alot of times people fail to turn in keys and they (the offoce) don%26#039;t know if it is actually vacant until someone checks it. Tenants assume the office knew the apartment was vacant because they were on notice to move out, but no one is psychic This may have been the case for you. You would be charged for those days if you did not turn in the keys. As far as getting an invoice, most apartment communites will send it to the address you lived at and count on you to forward your mail so that you get your bill. If you did not forward your address, then it would have returned to the apartment office. That may be why you did not get a bill. I would contact the apartment complex first and get all the details and your final statement from them. If the information is incorrect, they will be responsible for contacting the CA and getting it removed.

apartments are full of losers that power trip because they have positions of authority. maintenance men are a dirty cops best friend, they have the keys and can make copies. got evicted once when maintenance b***** falsely complained about noise and other bogus complaints, him and his trash friends. got hit for 2800 on report when in fact him and his stalker buddies were harassing and stalking my family. the little punks think they are secret service agents. they use to steal the water bill so i would get late fees. they are losers and liars. contest it. they should pass laws which prohibit bogus complaints by liars like them. wish i could have called the feds to deport half of the employees there,but we know they are too busy with steroids or dog fighting.complain in writing to apartment association in your town. if that doesn%26#039;t work, try the media it%26#039;s commonplace b.s.
