First, contact them. Some companies are willing to allow you to pay a lesser amount, AND show the account paid in full. %26quot;Paid in full%26quot; is the very least rating you should settle for. I don%26#039;t know if removing the complete delinquency history is legit, but it%26#039;s definitely worth a shot. Regardless of what you work out with the creditor, get a mailing and email address from them. Next, send an email and a letter confirming every detail of the agreement, including who you spoke to, the date, and time. Make sure you keep copies of both in a safe place, for your records, in case they do not follow through on their end. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Do you owe these people? Your message is a little confusing.

I recommend that you always get an agreement, IN WRITING, that if you pay off an overdue bill, the credit agrees to remove any negative comments in your credit report. Otherwise, what%26#039;s the point. You will still have a bad report, plus you will be broke.

If you owe it, pay it and make sure that the creditor removes it from your credit bureau. If you do not owe it, make the creditor provide proof that you do in fact owe them money.

Yes.
