How do i delete a jusgement of my credit report?

In 1998 I hired an attorney in North Carolina to sue Jim Walter%26#039;s homes for a poorly built home! He never showed for 3 different court dates so I fired him. A year later he took me to court for unpaid fees!!!! (even though I paid him a $1500.00 retainer)The judge got a bad case right before mine, was in a bad mood and he ruled in favor of the attorney not even hearing my side. I was living in Florida at the time (and am still). I have just left it alone because it hasn%26#039;t really affected me getting credit card or a car, but know I am ready to buy a home and can%26#039;t with that on their. The bank says only if the attorney dies or is no longer in business. but he is still alive and in business.

How do I get this off my credit w/o paying him!!!???

uh...it probably doesn%26#039;t come off even if you do pay him; it shows as a negative.

sue him for malpractice.

Your not going to get it off your credit report. You need proof from the county to show that you have paid it in order to get it off your credit. You owe an indivual money so when people pull your credit, they are going to need to know that if your getting a mortgage. You can try to get it off there with false documents but then you%26#039;ll get charged with fraud etc...

You can%26#039;t. You could try talking to another attorney about it, but the only thing that is probably going to help now is if you pay the bill.
